Obituary for Robert Castillo

Robert Castillo left this earth to join our Lord in Heaven on January 9, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. He was born to Fidel Castillo and Frances Segura on June 6, 1950 in Branchville, Texas. He was raised by Antonio Quigano in Branchville, Texas.

Robert served in the Army for 2 years. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass after 44 years with the company. His biggest passions were his family and softball. When he couldn’t play softball anymore, he decided to umpire and did that for 4 years. Robert loved road trips, family time, the Cowboy’s, music, and dancing.

He is preceded in death by his guardian, Antonio Quigano; father, Fidel Castillo, brothers, John Castillo, Daniel Castillo and Fidel Castillo; sister, Rachel Castillo Garcia.

Robert is survived by his wife of 52 years, Yolanda Castillo; two children, Michelle Villarreal and husband Rick of Waxahachie, Texas, and Robert Brian and Crystal Castillo of Waxahachie, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Rendon Villarreal, Alexis Rodriguez and husband Beto, Joseph Villarreal, Alex Castillo, Alexa Castillo; 3 great-grandchildren, Angelina, Beto Jr., and Sophia Aubrielle; 3 brothers, Carlos Castillo, Barney Castillo, and Jessie Ortiz; 4 sisters, Gracie Castillo, Patsy Guiterrez, Aurora Martinez, and Santos Trujillo and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be help at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas, on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 6-8 PM, with Rosary at 7 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 AM, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Interment will be held on January 19, 2021 at the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery.

Pallbearers include, Ryan Rendon Villarreal, Beto Rodriguez, Joseph Villarreal, Alex Castillo, Rick Villarreal, Robert B. Castillo. Honorary Pallbearer will be Beto Rodriguez Jr.
