Obituary for Ronnie John Henthorn

Ronnie John “Johnny” Henthorn, a proud Navy veteran, went to be with the Lord on December 17th at 3:12 am after a gradual decline in health. Ronnie was born on December13th 1957 in Waxahachie, TX.

Ronnie grew up on a farm with his grandmother Jaunita Cribbs in Boyce, TX. After high school, he joined the Navy and studied IT communication. While in the Navy he traveled to the Philippines. Where he met Teri, in 1978. They started a two-year courtship, where he wrote her daily love letters. They were married on May 7th, 1980, and were together happily for 43 years.

Ronnie loved to watch Old Westerns shows such as Wagon Train, starring John Wayne, and James Bond movies. He enjoyed the simple life of being at home with his family and listening to country music on the radio. He loved to travel when he was able to. He attended Crossroads Christian Church in Grand Prairie, where he rededicated his life to the Lord. He was a Past Commander for American Legion - Chris Kyle Post 388.

Ronnie is survived by his God-fearing wife, Teri, who he loved very much. His children, Michael and his wife Thanh-ha, Jimmy, Christina, and her husband Drew. His grandchildren Calah, Trinity, Payton, Christian, Moryah, and Conrad. His siblings, Ricky and Cathy. His uncle Bill Forbes, and His cousin Donna and her husband Keith and so many more that he cared for.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Ann Elmer, his mother-in-law, Ramona L Alisbo; his father Reuben Henthorn; his grandmother Jaunita Cribbs whom he named Mama Cribbs; a brother Thomas Elmer; his aunts Nina Holt and Linda Forbes; an uncle Hershel Holt; and his cousin Lisa Hanke whom he shared his birthday with.
