Obituary for Roy Neal Lewis Sr.

Roy Neal Lewis, Sr., age 80, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Waxahachie, Texas. He was born on November 22, 1940, in Dallas, Texas to Richard and Jewel Lewis.

On December 19, 1958, he married Alice Raney in Ennis, Texas. He attended Jesus Name Pentecostal Church and at one time was the pastor. He loved church----that was his life. He enjoyed camping and fishing but especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Roy worked for Certainteed Roofing for 32 years.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice, one son, Roy Neal Lewis, Jr. and wife Portia of Kemp; one brother, Jimmy Lewis and wife Nelda of Rice; one sister, Diane Cheek and husband Jack of Rice; three grandchildren, Alyson Chapman and husband Neil of Rice, Brandon Lewis and Qutzal of Arlington, Brian Lewis of Ennis; four great grandchildren, Luke Chapman, Kinzli Chapman, Maxx Chapman, all of Rice, and Sawyer Lewis of Ennis.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ouida Sue Brazelton.

There will be a visitation for family and friends on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 6 P.M. – 8 P.M at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis.

Services will be at 10 A.M. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis with Olan Ray Raney as Officiant and Eulogy given by Jack Cheek. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery.
