Obituary for Ruben Wayne Mejorado Jr.
Ruben “Baby Ruben/Ruby” Wayne Mejorado Jr., age 26, passed away on May 28, 2022. He was born on January 10, 1996 to Ruben Mejorado Sr. and Amy Marie Norcross. He was a happy child who was always smiling. As a child he became fascinated with anatomy and told everyone he wanted to be a doctor to help people. Ruben graduated from Waxahachie Life School in 2014 with honors and was a member of the National Honor Society. Baby Ruben was a very caring person and never met a stranger. He loved his family and friends deeply and was never afraid to show it. He loved spending time with those he loved and watching Grey’s Anatomy, the Harry Potter movies, the Twilight series, Charmed, The Ghost Whisperer, and many other scary movies. He had a heart of gold and was always putting others before himself. No matter how bad of a day he had, those around him would still be shown a beautiful smile and told how much they were loved, a trait he certainly got from his Popo Refugio Mejorado Sr. Baby Ruben was a member of the Avenue Church in Waxahachie and was a fantastic Dog dad to his Serenity. He was a free spirited person and was never scared to try new things.
Left to cherish his memories are his Father Ruben Mejorado and JoAnna, and mother Michelle Mejorado, brother Aaron Mejorado and wife Savanah, sister Rebecca Johnson, sister Tiffany Westmoreland and husband Aaron, sister Lauren Delbosque, nephews Shiner, Prescott, and Caysen, his momo Maria San Juana Mejorado, uncle Refugio Mejorado Jr., Randy and Stefanie Mejorado, aunt Aurelia and husband Tarrell “T-Bone” Carson, cousins Selena and husband Kyle Kenny, Refugio “Noah” Mejorado III and Laura, Monique and husband Julian Zapata, Ashleigh and husband Ruben Lopez, Krista and husband Ricky Hernandez, Amira, Marceline, Bryson, Gavin, and Annaliese.
Ruben was preceded in death by his grandfather Refugio Mejorado Sr., cousin Baby Zapata, great-grandparents Alejandro and Antonio Gonzalez, and Pablo and Wenselada Mejorado.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 from 6-8 P.M. at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie.
A Funeral Service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Chapel at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
