Obituary for Sandra Kay Webb

Sandra Kay Webb was born in Ennis, Texas on October 8, 1944 to James Richard “Doodle” Webb and Morene “Cricket” Parks Webb. After moving to Waxahachie as a little girl, she graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1963 and attended North Texas State University graduating with a BS in Home Economics in 1967. Her first jobs were in dietary service at various Baylor hospitals in the Dallas Area. She then pursued her master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition at Texas Women’s University in 1971. After which time, she worked at various hospitals in the Dallas area, and even helped open Medical City’s Clinical Nutrition Department.

Sandra had a special gift of style! She loved working at the Dallas Trade Center in the early eighties. She even opened her own gift shop, Dazzle, in North Dallas. In 1993 she became a sales rep for Alfred A. West, a Dallas showroom, for almost 20 years. She loved every minute of it! When Sandra retired in 2014 she enjoyed her home, her dogs and cats, and attending Grace United Methodist Church. Diagnosed with colon/rectal cancer in 2018, Sandra valiantly fought until the very end. Sandra had a special love for Jesus and a great faith in God.

Sandra leaves her sister, Jean and her brother -in-law Charles Rowell, her best friend and partner of 30 years Miranda Prater, many friends and cousins. Sandra loved all her dogs and cats throughout the years especially her little white Chihuahua, Poppy, that has brought her so much joy. In lieu of flowers please give any donation to Grace United Church ( 4105 Junius Street, Dallas, Texas 75246) or your donation of choice.
