Obituary for Santos Arredondo

Santos Arredondo a former Ellis County native and decorated war veteran, passed away at the age of 41 surrounded by famliy on May 30, 2021 in Plano, TX. Santos is a graduate of Italy High School, class of 1999. After high school Santos joined the US Army. Some of his training included Air Assault School, SERE School, Delta Force Training in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; As well as completing Special Forces Qual/PH 1 at the John F Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School. Santos served two tours during Operation Iraqi Freedom as part of the 2nd squadron, 11th Armored Calvary Regiment. He was a fearless sniper nicknamed BMF by his fellow comrades. Some of Santos' accomplishments included earning the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, the Order of the Spur, Expert Marksman, Expert Infantry Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, and his highest rank being Sergeant. In August 2007 Santos graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute for Automotive Technology. He spent the rest of his years working as an auto-mechanic. Santos had dreams of owning his own auto repair shop. Some of his hobbies included bowling, fishing, video games, grilling out with his family and supporting the Dallas Cowboys.

Santos is survived by his mother Joaquina Garza-Arredondo, brothers Juan Arredondo, David Arredondo, Mark Arredondo,Aaron Campbell, sisters Janie Arredondo, Joaquina Arredondo, Felipa Ochoa, Autumn Gutierrez, Rain Harrington, Bethen Campbell, and Makayla Koch. He is also survived by many loved cousins, nephews and nieces.

Santos' viewing will be held at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie, TX on Monday, June 7th 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 8th 2021 at St. Josephs Catholic church in Waxahachie, TX at 2 PM.

Burial Services will be held at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma on Wednesday June 9th 2021 at 2:00 pm.
