Obituary for Spencer Bridges Cordell

Spencer Cordell was born on August 27, 1980 to Lisa and Elton Cordell, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was taken away way too early, on April 2, 2022. Spencer was an amazing father, loving son, supportive and giving brother, compassionate and loyal friend, and the best hug giver ever.

He graduated from North Side High School Fort Worth in 1998, and completed his bachelor’s degree at Texas Women’s University in 2020. Spencer spent time as a residential and commercial painter. He wrote poems and songs. He enjoyed golf, online gaming and fantasy football. Spencer is remembered as the life of the party. There are so many Spencer stories that they are known as “Spencerisims”. His favorite place to be was with his daughter Haidynn. He had an unbreakable and special bond with her.

We will forever remember Spencer’s giant and kind heart, healing humor and wit, and his contagious belly laugh. We will honor his grit and ability to overcome adversity and his constant drive to become the best man and father he could be. We will mourn the loss of his encouragement, kindness, giant hugs and so much more.

Spencer is survived by his daughter Haidynn Joy Cordell of Red Oak; parents Elton and Lisa Cordell of Red Oak; brother Christopher Cordell and wife Staci of Cedar Park; sister Laura Cordell of Dallas; brother Brian Cordell and wife Carol Ann of Flower Mound; nephews Preston, Greer, Gehrig, Knox, and Barron; niece Maddox; and his love Barbara Ramirez-Aquilar.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10:00AM, also at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Chapel in Waxahachie.
