Obituary for Stephen Brian Askins

Stephen Brian Askins passed away unexpectedly in his home in Waxahachie, TX, on January 14, 2022, at the age of 56.

Steve was born on 2/13/1965 in Lodi, OH. He was the Second child of Gilbert & Sue Askins after Perry. His
younger brother, Jason, to follow 17 years later. From his 1st marriage he welcomed two children, Stephen Askins Jr, Tiffany Askins & 1 child from his last marriage to Tamera. He cared for Tamera’s daughter Tiffany Caddell as his own. Tiffany C. made him a grandfather for the first time with her son Caleb (15), followed by Tiffany A. with Christian (9). Stephen Jr. and Zachary, many years later, welcomed his newest grandchildren Skylar (1) and Zade (1).

Steve spent his life providing for his family, being a devoted father & grandfather, & pursuing all his favorite hobbies. He loved spending time with family and friends, going hunting, and fishing. He also loved to cook; his specialty was Deer Chili. His huge heart, carefree spirit, & loving soul Left a mark on everyone in his life. With his hearty laugh and huge smile he could change the mood of an entire room. He had a one-liner joke or saying for just about any situation in life. If he really liked you he would be giving you a hard time and expecting you to do the same. Steve had many friends and most of them referred to him as family. He was extremely caring and would do anything within his means to help anyone. Steve loved living his life to the absolute fullest and having a great time. He will be missed beyond measure by everyone who knew him.

Steve is survived by his children, Stephen Askins Jr, Tiffany Askins, Tiffany Caddell & Zachary Askins, Grandchildren, Caleb Parks, Christian Askins, Skylar Askins, & Zade Askins, siblings, Perry Askins & Jason Askins, along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus family members & his Aunt. He is preceded in death by loving parents, Gilbert Askins & Sue Askins, as well as many beloved Aunts & Uncles.
