Thomas “Box” Villareal, age 61, of Waxahachie, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021. He was born on October 15, 1959 to parents Janie Ortiz and Jose Villareal. Box was hard headed and was always right. He was the life of the party and was very outgoing. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and watching Wrestle-Mania. His favorite movies were his westerns that he would always watch. He loved being outdoors whether it was fishing or cruising the back roads. He got married on March 3, 1985 to his wife of 36 years.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife and best friend Cathy Villareal, son TJ Villareal and wife Shianne, grandchildren Zackary, Makayla, Hayiden, and Teaghan, siblings Bertha Garcia and husband Juan, Jody Villareal, James Villareal and wife Laura, nieces and nephews B.J., Johnny, Matthew, Jody, Joe, Bill, Luke, Jake, Bennie, Justin, Taylor, Mia, Kristina, Julio, Jr., Michael, Carmen, and Maria, and mother-in-law Pauline Quinteros, life-long friends, the entire Savala Family, and the entire Gutierrez family.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Janie Ortiz and Jose Villareal, father-in-law Bernardo Quinteros, brother Oscar Villareal, and sister-in-law Christine Villareal.

A Celebration of his life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 5th at 5:00 PM at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie.
