Tommy Dwayne Vantreese was born March 18, 1962 in Waxahachie, Texas to Joyce and Tommy Vantreese. On Tuesday morning, June 28, 2022, the patriarch, Dwayne left this earthly home for his heavenly home. He was loved by all, but his love for his family was the strongest. Dwayne married his beloved wife Donna in 1988. The couple had two children, Jessica Sparks and Amber Vantreese and four grandchildren Gracie Sparks, Wyatt Sparks, Zoe Jones and Zeke Jones. Dwayne was a gentle soul with a loud bark. That bark was always done with love and respect. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather and husband.

Dwayne’s life was here in Ovilla. He knew everyone and they knew him. He was proud of his Texan heritage. He was the real Texas boy from blue jeans to overalls! His favorite sport was hunting, and he would hunt as often as possible. He was always chasing the bigger buck!

He was preceded in death by his father John Tommy Vantreese; and his sister Melissa Rowe.

Dwayne is survived by his wife Donna Vantreese; mother Joyce Gerloff; stepfather Dutch Gerloff; daughter Jessica Sparks and Amber Vantreese; and grandchildren Gracie Sparks, Wyatt Sparks, Zoe Jones and Zeke Jones.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel in Waxahachie.

Funeral services will be held following visitation Friday, July 1, 2022 at 2:00pm, also at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Chapel in Waxahachie.
