Wynell “Mommom” Parsons Huebsch peacefully passed away February 28, 2021, at her assisted living home in Arlington. Born in Waxahachie, April 15, 1931, she moved to Arlington in 1951 and resided there until her retirement to Lake Murvaul near Carthage.
After the death of Eldon, her beloved husband of 52 years, she moved to Fort Worth’s Villas by the Lake to be near her much-loved grands and great-grands. She loved being a giver of her time, any get-together, being a Girl Scout leader, WPS, KITS, the Early Bird Sunday School Class, RVing throughout the country, dominoes, puzzles, crosswords, water-skiing, fish fries and Dr. Peppers.
She delighted in visits from her family and always had a well-stocked candy shelf awaiting them. There was always a moon pie or banana pudding to be had, along with her famous deviled eggs, corn dip and sausage balls.
She is survived by daughter Sharon Elrod, with her husband Gene; granddaughter Kristen Comer, with her husband Charles and their children Charles Jr., Caroline, and Cortland; grandson Garrick Elrod, with his wife Holli and their son Brooks Bain; her one living sister Eva Steed; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Friday, April 2, 2021, 2:00 pm, at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Loving thanks to the staff of Seasons Assisted Living and Freedom Hospice for their loving care.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Southcliff Baptist Church.
